Melissa (right) and Janie (left) are both retired educators with decades of experience nurturing and guiding the next generation. They have brought their expertise in creating supportive and structured environments into a new venture—caring for animals. After raising their own children, they discovered a shared passion for animals and decided to merge their skills in parenting and teaching with their love for pets.

Their son, having worked at Austin Pets Alive!, brought home various temporary fosters, giving them experience with the behavioral and medical needs of rescue dogs. He eventually adopted a dog with high anxiety and resource guarding of food and toys.

 

With a deep understanding of emotional well-being, Melissa and Janie provide pet care services that focus on meeting both the physical and emotional needs of each animal they care for. Their goal is to provide pets with more than just basic care—they aim to enrich their lives, ensuring each animal feels safe, loved, and nurtured.
