Originally an early childhood special education teacher, Jenna brings patience, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of how to support pets with unique needs. Jenna has lived with and cared for dogs for over 20 years. For over a decade, she has worked, volunteered, and trained under various professionals in the pet care industry, including Austin Pets Alive, dog behaviorists, pet nutritionist, and various boarding and training facilities in the Austin metro area.
Learning from multiple perspectives and philosophies has given her a well-rounded approach to dog care, allowing her to tailor her methods to each individual dog’s needs. Her hands-on experience and empathetic nature ensures she provides thoughtful, individualized care for every pet she meets.

She is skilled with many dog behaviors and has a passion and natural ability to create a safe space for dogs with trauma. She specializes in helping dogs who are shy or fearful of people or dogs, territorial (protective of the home), resource guarders (protective of food, toys, crate, etc.), on-leash reactivity or pulling, and loves teaching boundaries and manners around the house.

She is knowledgeable and attentive when caring for senior dogs and dogs with special needs. With a decade of professional experience, Jenna can recognize when a diet change or supplement might be beneficial and can offer guidance, or when to consult a veterinarian or specialist.
She brings a calm confidence and positive energy to her work. She has a deep understanding of dog body language, and uses this skill to understand and communicate with dogs - teaching pet parents and pets to speak the same language.
