About Us

Jace (they/them)

Owner/Dog Trainer

Location: Southeast Austin 78744

Jace has lived with and cared for dogs for over 20 years. For the past several years, they have worked, volunteered, and trained under various dog behaviorists, including Austin Pets Alive, and various training and boarding facilities in the Austin metro area.

Originally, an early childhood special education teacher, Jace brings this patience, care, and understanding of how to help unique souls improve their lives, to their work with dogs.

They are skilled with many dog behaviors and have a passion and natural ability to create a safe space for dogs with trauma or aggression. They specialize in helping dogs who are shy or fearful of people or dogs, territorial (protective of the home), resource guarders (protective of food, toys, crate, etc.), on-leash reactivity or pulling, and love teaching boundaries and manners around the house.

They are also knowledgeable and patient with seniors, medical, and sick dogs. They have experience with limited mobility, pain management, pre- and post-surgery care, injections, and dogs who hate taking pills.

Through years of owning dogs (in the past), training under a holistic pet nutritionist, and working with rescue dogs, they can determine when there is a need for diet change, supplement addition, or recommend going to a veterinarian. At the veterinarian, they can use their medical knowledge to ask thorough questions.
