About Us
Jenna (she/her, formerly Jace)
Owner/Dog Behavior Specialist
Location: Southeast Austin 78744
Jenna has lived with and cared for dogs for over 20 years. For the past several years, she has worked, volunteered, and trained under various dog behaviorists, including Austin Pets Alive, and various training and boarding facilities in the Austin metro area. Working at different places gave her knowledge from many different perspectives, creating her own unique approach learned hands-on.
Originally, an early childhood special education teacher, Jenna brings patience, compassionate care, and an understanding of how to help those who are most in need.
She is skilled with many dog behaviors and has a passion and natural ability to create a safe space for dogs with trauma or aggression. She specializes in helping dogs who are shy or fearful of people or dogs, territorial (protective of the home), resource guarders (protective of food, toys, crate, etc.), on-leash reactivity or pulling, and love teaching boundaries and manners around the house.
She is also knowledgeable and patient with seniors, medical, and sick dogs. She has experience with limited mobility, pain management, pre- and post-surgery care, injections, and dogs who hate taking pills.
Through years of having her own behavior and medical dogs, training under a holistic pet nutritionist, and working with rescue dogs (in and out of the shelter), she can determine when there is a need for diet change, supplement addition, or recommend when to go to a veterinarian or any other specialist.
Your beloved dog(s) are safe in Jenna's home and in her warm and calm presence. She uses a combination of positive dog training, extensive dog knowledge and experience, and love, to truly treat your pets like her own.
